Fence/Wall

Most of us have fences for privacy or containment reasons. While privacy is certainly important for the Loving Haiti compound safety is the most important reason for the construction of this fence. With issues such as poisoning or stealing kids, stealing food or other items, it’s imperative that this compounds has a  fence. The school, sewing center, church and orphanage are all located on the same 3-acre property. Since the inception of Loving Haiti we have begun completing a huge, strong, sturdy fence/wall one section […]

Solar Panels

Previous to your support, the orphanage/school/sewing center/church had power only a few hours a day, usually saving it for pumping water and for lighting the nightly church services. For years the children have been going to bed in the dark. Unable to switch on a light if they needed to go to the bathroom, if they were scared, or if they needed to get something. Once the sun went down they had very little option of doing anything other than sleeping. When they did have power, the […]

Lynn’s 1st Post-Gramma

Yes, I am back in Haiti. Why so soon, you ask? Because I learned on my last visit that besides the monetary support, the various building projects, and the medicinal and other much-needed supplies donated, there is great value in the children knowing and experiencing that they are loved. I wasn’t too sure on my last visit how much help I would be with projects in the heat and throes of (somewhat) aging knees and back. […]

Fence Update!

Thank you to everyone who donated to help complete the upper section of the fence!  We were able to raise all of the funds and they were supposed to start working on it this past Monday.  However, as you can see in the picture above, the road conditions permitted any trucks to enter Francois’ compound. Unforutnately, there is only one entrance to Francois’ compound.  There is no way for a truck to drive […]

Let’s Finish the Fence!

Okay readers! The section of the fence we started back when Mark was here is ALMOST done. There is one small connecting part directly behind the kids orphanage that desperately needs to be finished, it is only 32 feet long.  Please continue to read so you can see how you can help, and how this fence has multiple purposes, the first of which is protection for the kids. This section below is where Kevin, […]
