Libraries:
One of the sad facts of Pignon, is the large majority of people have no access to reading materials, and if they do it is usually not in their native language of Creole. The vision for libraries in this community will start small. First, allowing the children in the school to be able to check out books and take them home. We would like to offer a library for the church and hopefully for the entire community to have access to books in Creole. The children and adults are very eager to learn, however, they have no resources to learn from. Outside of the Pastor reading his Bible, we did not see a single other Haitian reading.
