Easter

(I’m having trouble with the website posting pics and writing captions so I’m gonna write everything up here and hopefully you can follow along.-Abby)

Denny said Easter was “amazing.”  Everyone got up at 3:30 a.m. Easter morning and headed to a church with 7-8 other church bodies. They met from 4-7 a.m. and had communion.

Then all the churches met outside to walk around the city together in two lines praying and singing praise songs.

After that they had a church service back at Pastor’s church from 9-11.

Then they had Sunday school at 3 where Pastor read out of the Jesus Story Book Bible that’s been translating into Creole.=.

Then they had service at night again from 7-9.

Denny loved it!

The above pics are of Gerald and Michelda trying on their new clothes Denny brought with him for them to wear in Guirda’s wedding. Guirda is the oldest girl in the Children’s Home and is getting married in the end of April. Michelda and Gerald are the flower girls and ring bearer.

Yes, Lynn, your Denny has the cutest dimples;))) How proud you must be of him and his huge heart. The work he and Abby do is nothing short of life-changing for countless children. We are blessed to see these pictures!

They sure know how to make Easter an all day celebration! Really sweet photos of the “parade” of worshippers on the streets together. I think I’ve seen that suit on dear Denny before… on his wedding day, perhaps?! Who would have thought he’d be sporting it in Haiti! God bless this work and all involved!
